As the CEO of a rapidly growing  fintech company  and a frequent contributor to Forbes, I get asked to do a lot of media interviews. The same questions seem to pop up time and time again, but during a recent interview, I was asked a question I had never encountered before. The interviewer asked, “What was the most important thing you ever learned in school?” I’ve grown so used to delivering the same soundbites that I was caught unprepared. I thought for a moment, and then the obvious answer came to mind. “Ingratiate yourself with people of great wealth,” I replied without hesitation. The interviewer was a bit taken aback because it’s somewhat of a blunt answer. However, the seemingly cynical response was, in fact, the most important thing I ever learned in school. ఒక చిన్న పారిశ్రామిక వేత్త ముంబై లో నివసిస్తూ ఉండేవాడు... అతను తన వ్యాపార లావాదేవీలలో బాగా నష్టపోయి.. తిరిగి కోలేకోలేని స్థితిలో ఉన్నానని.. తనకు చావే శరణ్యమని భావించి.. చని పోవాలని నిర్ణయించుకుని... చివరగా ఒక పార్కులో భగవంతుని ధ్యానంలో మునిగిపోయాడు.. ఇంతలో అతను కూర్చున్న బెంచి మీదకే ఒక ముదుసలి వచ్చి కూర్చుని ఏమి నాయన బాగా సమస్యలో ఉన్నట్లున్నావు... అని అడిగాడు... వ్యాపారి తన బాధనంత చెప్పుకున్నాడు... ఆ ముదుసలి నాయన నీ బాధలు తీరాలంటే ఎంత అవసరమవుతుంది.. అని విచారించి.. 50,00,000 రూపాయలకు చెక్ రాసి ఇచ్చి.. వచ్చే సంవత్సరం తిరిగి ఇదే రోజున నాకు తిరిగి ఇవ్వు అని చెప్పి మాయమయ్యాడు.... మన వ్యాపారి ఆ చెక్కు చూసి దానిలో రతన్ టాటా అని ఉండడం చూసి ఆశ్చర్య పోయాడు.... దేవుడు తనకు మరో అవకాశాన్ని ఇచ్చాడని కృతఙ్ఞతలు చెప్పుకుని... తిరిగి ఇంటికి వచ్చాడు..... అతనికి ఆ చెక్ వాడ కుండానే పని ఎలా పూర్తీ చేయాలి అని కొన్ని ప్రణాళికలు వేసుకున్నాడు... అవి అన్నీ సంతృప్తిగా అనిపించి .. తెల్లవారిన తర్వాత వాటిని అమలులో పెట్టాడు.. .  అవి  1. తను ముడి సరకు రవాణా చేసినందుకు ఇవ్వవలసిన రుణ...
