February 21 is going to be one of the most exciting days of the year for gadget geeks, because both South Korean electronics giants Samsung and LG will unveil their 2016 flagship phones, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5. But in today’s web-driven, ultra-connected culture, it’s just about impossible to keep highly anticipated projects under wraps (just ask Rihanna, whose new album was leaked by music service Tidal last month). Slowly, her need to check her phone turned into a craving. Did someone comment on her Facebook post? Did she miss out on a WhatsApp message? Why hadn't her phone buzzed in the past hour or so? She would sleep with the phone under her pillow and check her messages in the middle of the night. Her obsessive attachment to the phone began to interfere with her daily chores and mental peace.
