Link your phone to Google

You can connect your Android phone to Google, which lets you send information from your computer to your phone. For example, you can send directions you searched for on your computer to Google Maps on your phone.
Link your Android phone

Step 1: Update the Google app

  1. On your phone, go to the Google app page on the Play Store.
  2. Touch Update.

Step 2: Turn on Google Now

  1. On your phone, open the Google app .
  2. In the top left corner, touch the Menu icon menu icon > Settings > Now cards.
  3. Turn on Show cards.
  4. Turn on Show notifications.

Step 3: Turn on Web & App Activity

  1. Visit the Account History page.
  2. Make sure the switch is on (green).

Step 4: Sign in to your browser

  1. On your phone, open the Google app .
  2. In the top left corner, touch the Menu icon menu icon.
  3. In the top left corner, you'll see the email address that you use for the Google app.
  4. Visit www.google.com on your computer.
  5. If you aren't signed in already, click Sign in in the top right corner of the page.
  6. Sign in using the Google Account you use for the Google app.

Step 5: Send information to your phone

  1. Do one of the searches below, like note to self, or send directions to my phone.
  2. If a box doesn't pop up with the option to send information to your phone, try refreshing the page. If you just turned on Google Now, it may take a few minutes for the box to show up

Turn Android Device Manager on or off

If you lose your Android device, you can use Android Device Manager to:
  • Find your device: Use Android Device Manager to show your device's location.
  • Ring, lock, or erase a lost device: Use Android Device Manager to remotely ring or lock your device, erase everything on it, or add a phone number to the lock screen.
Tip: You can also link your phone to Google so you can find or ring it by searching for find my phone onwww.google.com.

Find your device using Android Device Manager

If you've lost a device, you can use Android Device Manager to find its approximate location on a map and when it was last used. When Android Device Manager locates your device, that device will get a notification.
Before you can use Android Device Manager to locate your device: Your device's location access need to be turned on and be signed in to your Google Account. Android Device Manager won't work for devices that are turned off or that don't have a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.

Locate a lost device using Android Device Manager

Use the Android Device Manager website
  1. Sign in to your Google Account on android.com/devicemanager.
  2. If you have more than one device, click the arrow next to the device name to select a different device.
  3. Android Device Manager will show you the approximate location of the device selected.
Use the Android Device Manager app
If you have another mobile device, you can use the Android Device Manager app to locate your lost device. You need to have the Android Device Manager app installed on the device that you plan to use.
  1. On the device that you have with you, open the Android Device Manager app .
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Change the device displayed:
    • On your phone: Swipe along the bottom of the screen to see your devices.
    • On your tablet: Touch the arrow next to the device to select a device.
  4. Android Device Manager will show you the approximate location of the device selected.

Android Device Manager makes it easy to locate, ring, or wipe your device from the web.
Use your Android Wear device
For Android Wear users, you can also use your watch to find your device if it's connected by Bluetooth.
NOTE: Android Device Manager doesn't collect and store location history. It requests your device's approximate location when you first sign in, and this location data is deleted when you sign out of the device manager.

 మీ ఫోన్‌లో గతంలో రిజిస్టర్‌ చేసుకున్న గూగుల్‌ (జీమెయిల్‌) అకౌంట్‌లోకి లాగిన్‌ అవ్వండి. గూగుల్‌ సెర్చ్‌ హోం పేజీకి వెళ్లి ‘వేర్‌ ఈజ్‌ మై ఫోన్‌?’ అని టైప్‌ చేయండి. గూగుల్‌ మ్యాపు, మ్యాపుపై బాక్స్‌ కనిపిస్తుంది. బాక్స్‌లో ‘లొకేట్‌ ఫోన్‌’ ఆప్షన్‌ను ఎంచుకోండి. మ్యాపుపై మీ ఫోన్‌ ఉన్న లొకేషన్‌ కనిపిస్తుంది. ‘రింగ్‌’ ఆప్షన్‌ను ఎంచుకోండి. మీ ఫోన్‌ సైలెంట్‌లో ఉన్నా పూర్తి వాల్యూమ్‌తో 5 నిమిషాలు మోగుతుంది. బాక్స్‌లోని ‘ఎనేబుల్‌ లాక్‌ అండ్‌ ఎరేజ్‌’ ఆప్షన్‌ను ఎంచుకుని కొత్త పాస్‌వర్డ్‌ కూడా పెట్టుకోవచ్చు. ‘దయచేసి ఈ ఫోన్‌ను ఫలానా చోట తిరిగి ఇచ్చేయండి.. ఈ నెంబర్‌కు ఫోన్‌ చేయండి.. అంటూ పోయిన ఫోన్‌ లాక్‌ స్ర్కీన్‌పై కనిపించేలా మెసేజ్‌, కొత్త ఫోన్‌ నెంబర్‌నూ పంపొచ్చు. 

 మీ ఫోన్‌లో డేటా(ఇంటర్‌నెట్‌) ఆన్‌లో ఉంటేనే ఫోన్‌ లొకేట్‌ అవుతుంది. లేకపోతే చివరిసారిగా ఆ ఫోన్‌ ఎప్పుడు ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో ఉందో కనిపిస్తుంది. గూగుల్‌ సెర్చ్‌ ద్వారా ఆండ్రాయిడ్‌ ఫోన్లను మాత్రమే ఇలా వెతికేందుకు అవకాశం ఉంది. ఐఫోన్‌ యూజర్లు ఐక్లౌడ్‌పై ఆధారపడాల్సిందే.
